Dividing nations
and conversations
Splitting personalities,
negotiating gravities
You’re breaking up lovers
You’re laughing on the covers
You’re demanding us voting,
while digitally gloating
Refusing to answer,
is a symptom of cancer
You’re pledging a democracy
while performing bureaucracy
You’re avoiding reality
You’re escaping a penalty
You’re hiding in a coconut tree,
where no empathy seems to be
It’s the suffocation of choosers
It’s the ignoring all the beggars
Must it be a civil war,
the only way to wake us?
We’d rather none
than either one
a third is not an option
We’ll either flee, escape, give up
or shoot, resist and poison
You praise resistance
within your fortress
The other’s existence
ain’t mentioned in your congress
The game isn’t fair
and we refuse to play
Until you start to care
we demand that you pay
A blood moon is glowing
above your precious house
Soon you will be knowing
a game of cat and mouse
