Katinka Hurvig

… is a Danish creator of performing arts based in Copenhagen. She recently co-founded the theatre company Out Of Office as director and playwright, and has previously created performances with the theater collective MAGMA. Her artistic practice is directing and (play)writing, and besides her own independent work, she frequently joins forces with Danish award winning theatre company fix+foxy as assistant/co-director.

Her work is feminist, nostalgic and existential – and always focuses on the relationship between performer and audience. This means that her performances are primarily immersive, and they usually center a scientific or emotional phenomenon translated into a theatrical concept.

She continues to explore new formats and works interdisciplinary. Katinka has been fortunate enough to work with artists from all over the world and is always curious to create not only new forms of theatre, but also of collaborations.
