LIVING SITUATIONS

B. Someone I met told me that she is certain that Pest Control and her landlord are privately corresponding and making deals under the table in order to save money on her expense:
She called her landlord to schedule Pest Control coming over to fog the place for an infestation of cockroaches.
When Pest Control came to see the apartment, they agreed that it was clean and well kept, and that the bug infestation then wasn’t due to her cleanliness but an actual infestation issue.
The landlord afterwards let her know that this observation wasn’t in any of the notes from PC, and so they wouldn’t pay for an exterminator to come over and fog the apartment.
When she demanded that they came back, she video recorded the conversation to be able to provide proof for their next attempt of screwing her over. She told me, frustrated; “What interest would I have in lying? I don’t want to fog my apartment – the chemicals are so bad for you.”
